Where There Is A Will, There Is A Way

Where there is a will, there is a way

Before going our way, we were the way. The compendium of all values, efforts, goals and dreams. So if there is a tree to plant, let’s plant it; if there is a mistake to be rectified, let us amend it and if there is an effort to be made, let us make an effort. The will is what moves the stone out of the way. If we had enough will we would almost always have enough means …

Hermann Hesse, a German writer, poet, novelist and painter, used to say that when someone really needs something, they find it, it is not by chance who procures it, but by himself. His own desire and his own need lead him to it. In other words, there is nothing difficult as it is that most of the time we cannot achieve if we put in effort. Perseverance is what gives value to things.

Believing is the second power and wanting the first. The proverbial mountains that faith moves are nothing next to what the will does. Man does not realize how much he can do until he tries, meditates, and puts his will.

Choosing your own path

Nobody lacks strength, rather it is perseverance that is in short supply. Great difficulties shrink in size if the will comes out on the scene. Any road will be passable where it proliferates. Rudyard Kipling said it, if you entrust a man with more than he can do, he will do it. If you only entrust him with what he can do, he will not do it.

We are barely half awake. We use only a small part of the physical and psychological resources that we have and the same happens with our capacity for commitment. We know more about hiding than we do about looking ahead to face problems and seek solutions. We forget that as soon as we trust ourselves, we will discover how to enjoy and live.

Being authentic in a world that constantly tries to make us someone else is our greatest challenge. The roads are a simile of our decisions. Do we want to end up hiding our dreams under a rug to achieve a supposed and overrated conformity? If so, let’s walk along the marked paths. If otherwise we choose to get off that path and go cross country, we will be ourselves in a world created by our will.

Will is the most powerful driving force

Willpower is the drive to carry out our wishes. A strong-willed person will enforce his decisions, even in the face of strong opposition and obstructions of all kinds. However, a person with little willpower will easily give in to adversity.

This force is related to desire. If we do not want something too much, the will we use to succeed in that task is likely to be weak. On the other hand, if we have strong desire and great will, then surely we will persist until we reach our goal.

As we can see, loving is not everything in life, it takes the will to transport mountains, to move forward and plant the seed of self-confidence.
