Today I Choose Myself And It Is Not An Act Of Selfishness
Today I choose myself and it is not an act of selfishness. Today I choose myself above everything and everyone, because I deserve time for myself. I deserve to untie the rope of the obligations that I have contracted with others and dedicate myself to taking care of myself, loving myself and respecting myself above all else.
Today I choose myself to be the queen of my world without others occupying my concerns. Today I am my whole world. Because I have always taken care of others, and although this was not an obligation for me, I have decided that I should always be my first option.
Today I am free to be myself because I have tired of giving pieces of my time, my love and, ultimately, my life to others who have not known how to value it. So, for once, I decide to put myself ahead of others, to choose myself in spite of everything and everyone. It is not an act of selfishness, but of honesty towards myself.
Today I am going to build a new me in which there will not be space for a before you, but for a us if we share the moment. Today I have decided to spread my wings and start flying towards what I really want, without guilt or torment. Because above all I am the first.
I choose to color my world
I am happy in my own way and I do not ask you to share it with me. In fact, I do not ask for anything, only that you give me my space, the space that corresponds to me to be me, and not what you want me to be. Now I feel that something is missing, it is something and not someone, it is freedom of movement, it is coloring my entire world.
So today I choose to color my world because my smile is not put by others. Because I know that the sky is not always blue, but is full of shades. And I put the hue because everything is subjective, everything changes color depending on the way I look at it.
I choose myself first of all because of the thousand ways to spend my life, I choose the one that makes me happy. I choose myself because I deserve to be happy and do it without fear. I choose myself because before there were always others who despised me and believed they were my owners.
They erased my dreams and made me feel guilty if they weren’t the first. And at that time I was not important to anyone, it was an option, it was disposable. But now my time has come because I have taken flight and I have decided to be as I want.
I’ve decided that smiles are for me
I have decided that the smiles that I seek are not to put on the faces of others, but rather the smiles that are for me. Now it is no longer about resisting or surviving, it is about living, enjoying and being happy. Today I choose myself because I am the only one who can get what I want, since no one is going to live for me.
Today I am the one who decides my path. The one who steadily looks to the future without the fear that others will not like the path she decides to take. Because I am me and you don’t have to like everything I do. I am independent and as long as I do not get into your life to harm you, respect the freedom of mine.
Today I choose myself because if I despise myself I will not find appreciation in others.
